Best Hosting Companies
(with servers in the USA)

We have evaluated several hosting companies in the USA and selected two, that in our opinion offer the best value for money in terms of speed, reliability, quality of support, infrastructure, hosting options and pre-loaded scripts. One of our most important criteria was the location of their Data Center (and servers). They had to be based in the USA (important for speed and SEO).

The best hosting companies, that met our criteria were HostGator Hostway and Inmotion Hosting. We now use these hosting providers to host all our websites that target the US market. This site, for example, is hosted with HostGator.

Why do we use three different hosting companies, not just one?
Their customer service, speed and reliability is very similar. All three companies offer Shared, VPS and Dedicated hosting, Windows or Linux servers, video/audio streaming, unlimited disk space and bandwidth (it is an oversell), US based support and a great range of pre-loaded scripts. However their pricing, support and infrastructure differs somewhat.

They are also have Safe Harbour certification, Green Host certification and their rate with Better Business Bureau is A+ (can't get better than that).

Hosting your wesite with Inmotion Hosting

Inmotion Hosting recieved a Best Business Host 2010 Award.

With 99.9% network uptime guarantee, 24/7 customer support, amazing prices, incredible loading speeds and excellent feedback from satisfied customers, we are not surprised.

Inmotion Hosting infrastructure is quite unique. Unlike most other hosting companies, they have 2 data centers instead of one. One data center is in LA, California and another one in Washington DC. This allows their clients to host their websites in the location that is geographically closest to their company headquarters or client base (it improves email and website loading speed up to 6 times).

In addition to their multiple data centers, they teamed up with some of the world's largest ISPs and peering exchanges to create direct data connections. The end result is a noticeably faster connection speed and ISP response times.

Another great feature of their hosting is automatic backups. Most  hosting companies don't offer automatic backups or charge you for them. Inmotion Hosting takes backups every 36 hours and what is best, this service is free up to 10 GB. You also don't have to pay a cent for data recovery.

So how are they different from Hostgator? Their speed is superior, but their BBB (Better Business Bureau) ranking is slightly worse (A- compared to Hostgator's A+), their VPS hosting is much more expensive than Hostgator's, they don't have a Safe Harbor accreditation and their hosting is not regarded as "green".
